Yet another astounding success for Toba, the pellet stove by MCZ. Toba was picked by an international panel of experts and awarded the IF Product Design Award 2011, in the “buildings" category.
Since it was first introduced in 1953, the IF Product Design Award is a synonym for the highest quality design. The winners are nominated after a painstaking analysis of hundreds of proposals originating from all over the world by the brightest industrial concerns in terms of innovation and creativity. For the 2011 edition, the jury panel sorted through 2,756 projects by 1,121 participants from 43 different countries.
Toba stood out from the rest owing to its eco features (indeed, it affords a level of product recyclability of 90%, a genuine record in the world of stoves). The front of this stove is a large ceramic surface which embraces the combustion chamber, setting centre stage for the flame itself. Toba is the result of a new way of conceiving the pellet stove: it is no longer simply a tool to generate heat, but rather a genuine furnishing element, something to show off, an object which enhances the appeal of a home.
Comfort Air® extracts the heat produced by the stove with unequalled efficiency. The user-friendly remote control has just a few buttons to control the versatile timer that is already pre-set with 60 daily and 10 weekly programs.
Manufactured by MCZ in Italy, the Toba is EPA certified and meets UL safety standards. It heats up to 40,000 BTUs; about to 2,000 square feet. Back vent only. The Toba measures 43” high x 20” wide x 20” deep and weighs 310 pounds.
