The widest range of biomass systems in Ireland

Green Energy Technology (G.E.T.) now has the widest range of biomass heating systems in Ireland.

G.E.T. recently added the Italian wood pellet stove manufacturer MCZ, and the Austrian wood pellet and log boiler manufacturer, Windhager, to its range of biomass suppliers.

What started as a small company in rural County Armagh six years ago, has grown to become a leader in the renewables sector. Its Co-Directors Patrick Flynn and John Martin have travelled extensively throughout Europe to learn about biomass technology, fuel and installations, and bring this knowledge back to Ireland and the UK.

The company has a complex, with showroom and conference suite, on a 50 hectare willow farm outside Waringstown. This willow is coppiced every 2-3 years, and used to heat over 350 homes in woodbrook eco-village in Lisburn.

John Martin commented; 'The addition of MCZ and Windhager to our range gives us the ability to provide a wider range of solutions to our customers. Changes in building regulations and building efficiency mean that people need smaller stoves or boilers, rather than large systems. More and more people are appreciating the environmental and cost benefits of wood pellets - systems like MCZ and Windhager will become 'the norm' rather than the exception'.

MCZ wood pellet stoves have a contemporary linear design, and gives all the ambient effect of a traditional fire, without the mess or ongoing cost. Windhager are world leaders in pellet and log boilers, with a track record of over 85 years. Windhager were the first company to achieve full MCS accreditation for its full range of wood pellet and log boilers.
